His ideal setup includes a private, cozy space to retreat to — especially a covered cave bed where he can rest, observe, and feel secure while he adjusts. Loud homes, frequent visitors, or lots of activity can be overwhelming for him.
Because Duke is sensitive and cautious, he thrives with consent-based interaction. He does not enjoy being forced into touch or handling, and he’ll do best with someone who respects his boundaries and lets him choose when he’s ready for affection.
