Little bit about Bear

Hi, I'm Bear. I'm 1 year old and I move through the world with a curious nose and a wagging tail that lights up when I meet a friendly face. I enjoy simple things: time for sniffing, a warm spot to rest, and the reassurance of a calm voice. I've lived with multiple other dogs, so I know what it's like to share space and read another dog's signals. After a bit of exploration, I settle into a steady, hopeful presence, ready to learn what home feels like with someone patient beside me.

With people, I’m gentle and responsive—eager to learn what makes you smile and quick to lean in for a cuddle. I’m happiest after a small adventure and then a comfy rest. I may need a moment to warm up in a new place, especially in a busy environment, but given time and gentle encouragement I find my footing. My energy is moderate, so a walk and quiet time suit me just fine. I’ve lived with other dogs; I may enjoy their company, but I also value my own space. I’m comfortable indoors and outdoors.

I need an experienced owner who can help me stay steady and safe. I have a history of digging, so a yard with secure footings is important, and I’ll thrive with routines that feel predictable. I don’t have a known history of issues with other pets, and I’ve shown that I can coexist with dogs, though I can be selective about who I meet and where. I’m best with a family that has children aged 6 years or older, and I’ll bring a gentle, loyal heartbeat into a home that respects my pace and gives me time to adjust.

If you’re ready to meet a dog who will greet you with a wag and a listening ear, I’d love to say hello and explore whether we’re a good match. Come say hi— and if we click, we can talk about taking the next steps together.
