Hi, I’m Ruby and I’m a Chihuahua x Fox Terrier with a gentle heart and a thoughtful approach to life. I have a few things you need to know if your interested in me:
- I have a few medical conditions that will need on going pain management; such as short walks, stairs to the lounge etc. I may also need on going pain relief.
- I take a while to build a relationship, and a process to build up to pets and cuddles
- I don't like being picked up
- I need access to a securely fenced, grass yard
I’m at my happiest when life feels predictable. A consistent routine helps me feel safe and confident, so I’m looking for a home where things are nice and steady. Once I know you, I’ll be your quiet little companion.
I do have one important request for my future home: I need a home without young kids and I really value having a safe space, like a crate, where I can retreat and relax without being approached. Having that quiet, respected space helps me feel secure and at ease.
I enjoy affection, but I like to do things on my terms. Once we’re friends, I’ll happily come over for pats, and if I’m feeling extra cozy, I might even hop onto your lap for a sit. Just let me make the first move. Oh, and I’d rather keep all four paws on the ground, being picked up isn’t really my thing.
I have a lot on my plate to process, so I would rather be the only dog to let me settle in to my full potential.
New people and new experiences can feel a little overwhelming at first, so I’ll need slow, gentle introductions. With patience and understanding, I’ll show you my sweet and loyal nature.
I also need a secure, grassed yard please, I am a very toilet trained girl and will only toilet on grass. I won't be able to go on lead right away, so being taken out to toilet isn't for me.
